Mahatma Gandhi Veterinary College established an institution under Smt. Urmila Devi Mahgaiya Paropkari Trust, Bharatpur with a broad vision and great mission to promote merit amongst students in professional courses. This institute follows the course curriculum for courses B.V. Sc. & A. H. of Veterinary Education (MSVE 2016-2017) prescribed by Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi. College is situated at 1000 meters from Saras Chouraha, Bharatpur in the heart of City on 30 acres of land adjacent to NH 21.


The college is characterized by a powerful collaborative and professional culture. It firmly believes in the vision, trust, teamwork and the power of relationships. The environment is meticulously nurtured which enables and encourages new ideas to flourish which are required to excel in this informative globalized world. The college provides expert faculty and excellent facilities, which are essential for accomplishing the goals as determined by the aspirants. The three-story building is available for teaching and extension education with well-equipped laboratories, smart classrooms and well facilitated residential accommodation for college students and faculty. It also possesses a Veterinary Clinical Complex that facilitates with Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, Clinical Pathology Lab, Animal X-Ray Machine, Ultrasound Machine and Operation theatres for both large and small animals. The college have also a Livestock Farm Complex facilitates with different species of animals, poultry birds and own automatic milking parlour.


College has well equipped VCC with outdoor and indoor patients sections and client accommodation facilities. It has medicals, surgical, gynaecological, diagnostic and ambulatory clinical section.


College is an excellent institute in the private sector to generate competent veterinarians in the field of Veterinary Science and Animals Husbandry. The main objective of the institute is to provide scientific knowledge in the field of feeding, breeding, healthcare and modern management practices to farmers livestock owners, poultry farmers and entrepreneurs in these fields with the aim to improve the production and quality of animal products (Milk, Meat, Eggs, Wool, Hide & Skin) on affordability basis.


The college have a well developed LFC with livestock units and infrastructure for maintenance of livestock, animals of different species, storage facilities for feed and fodder with a large sized fodder production area.

In addition to department, College provides common and administrative facilities- i.e.- Dean office, visitors room, committee room, office room (for office staff, general, academics, accountant and establishment section), central store, personal staff room, toilet facilities for visitors, office staff and students, record room, photocopying facility, canteen, conference hall, seminar room, 5 nos. lecture halls, examination hall, drinking water facility, playground, boys hostel, girls hostel, animal houses for small laboratory animals, central computer lab, central diagnostic lab, microphotography and processing unit, transport facility, artificial insemination centre, parental medical hospital for students and staff and cold room facility.
